What Budgit collects

We collect the account information you provide, such as your name and email address, and the records you choose to enter: recurring payments, amounts you owe, amounts owed to you, currencies, categories, dates, notes, and app settings.

We may also receive basic technical information needed to operate and secure the service, such as device, browser, network, authentication, and error information.

How information is used

We use your information to create and secure your account, save and sync your records across devices, provide app features, prevent abuse, troubleshoot problems, and improve reliability. Budgit does not sell your personal information or use your financial records for advertising.

Storage and service providers

Budgit relies on cloud hosting, database, and authentication providers to operate. These providers process information on our behalf under their own security and privacy commitments. Information may be processed in countries other than the one where you live.

Sharing

Your records are private to your account unless you intentionally use a sharing feature. We may disclose information to service providers, when required by law, to protect users or the service, or as part of a business transfer. We do not share your records with other Budgit users by default.

Retention, access, and deletion

We keep information while your account is active and as reasonably needed to operate the service, meet legal obligations, resolve disputes, and protect the service. You can review and edit records in the app. You can permanently delete your account and associated app data from Settings. Some limited records may remain temporarily in protected backups or where retention is legally required.

Security and children

We use reasonable safeguards, but no online service can guarantee absolute security. Budgit is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Changes and contact

We may update this policy as Budgit changes. The effective date above will be updated when changes are published. Privacy questions and requests can be sent through the support contact listed on Budgit’s App Store product page.
